Pearce Illmer
Pearce is a trial and appellate associate whose practice has seen success in a wide variety of commercial areas including intellectual property, land use, oil and gas, products liability, doctor/dental services organizations, and civil appeals. Before joining the firm, Pearce practiced in the commercial litigation and appellate groups of Dykema Gossett PLLC.
Pearce graduated from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law and was the only student in his class to be awarded both the prestigious Order of the Coif and Order of the Barristers awards. While at SMU, Pearce was an active member of the school’s moot court community and received both the National Best Brief and National Best Oralist Runner-Up awards at the 2022 ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition, the country’s largest moot court competition. Pearce also served as a judicial extern for Senior Federal Judge A. Joe Fish of the Northern District of Texas and was Articles Editor of the SMU Journal of Air Law and Commerce.
Before attending law school, Pearce spent three years at Shell Oil in Houston, working in the global marketing and supply chain groups. In his spare time, Pearce is a passionate musician and runs a consulting business aimed at growing contemporary and vocal music programs in middle and high schools.
